Look up Services

The Society operates this service for Members who cannot visit the Library to research documents, etc.  Members can request one of our Volunteers to look for a name, date or other information in the following, amongst other data:

• Parish Register Transcripts
• Monumental Inscriptions
• Family Trees - including large hard copy trees not currently available on NORS
• Wills
• Pedigrees
• Maps
• Books and Articles 

However, please note that it is not a research service for Members to ask for numerous names, dates, events to be found, or for creating and checking a Family Tree.

Requests can be sent by mail addressed to the Society headquarters at Kirby Hall or by e-mail to lookups@nfhs.co.uk.

Please remember that such information is gathered and provided by Volunteers using the Library’s resources. This may take some time so please be patient.
